Scrabbling to cram in that last bit of revision whilst doubting whether you know enough to pass the exam - I'm sure this is a scenario familiar to us all.
Sometimes it can feel like a very stressful period, but it's so important that you enter the exam hall with a fresh and positive mind-set, so what tricks can you employ to calm yourself down?
Treat Yourself
It may seem like a small gesture, but the fact is, you are putting a lot of effort into your exam preparation and so it's important that there is some level of balance.
Despite the fact that you will be desperate to pass your exam, it's important that you also give yourself a break. After all, there's every chance that you might not pass.
One little thing you can do is to plan a treat for yourself for when you have finished the exam. For example, is there somewhere you've been wanting to eat at for a while? Is there a pair of new shoes you've had your eye on?
This might just help you to feel:
- Relaxed - as stressful as the exam might be, you'll know that you can enjoy a delicious meal in the evening which could make you feel a bit more relaxed.
- Rewarded - everyone likes to feel that their hard work is being rewarded. You will all be working so hard to prepare for the exam that it will be nice to get a treat at the end of it.
This way, however the exam goes, all of your hard work will at least feel worthwhile!
